Client Overview:nLoom Talent have been retained by a forward-thinking Multi-User 3PL Transport provider, renowned for its commitment to delivering top-notch logistics solutions in the fast-moving world of 3PL & FMCG. As a key player in the industry, they pride themselves on a commitment to delivering excellence service, now seeking a Transport Manager to own the end to end group Transport function.

This role would suit a developing Transport Supervisor, Transport Shift Manager or Junior / Assistant Transport Manager.

Key Responsibilities:nAs the Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing end to end operations, leading multi-site transport operations. Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a small Transport Driver & Administration team.nOversee a modern fleet of up to 25+ vehicles.nLead all operational H&S, Compliance and Fleet Maintenance agendas across the Transport operation.nEnsuring seamless coordination and optimisation of logistics operations from an internal synergy and continuous improvement perspective.nImplementing best practices whilst ensuring sufficient usage of the TMS platform.nTo help support and develop individuals, provide developmental opportunities within the business.

Qualifications:nThe successful candidate for the Transport Manager position will possess:

A Logistics Distribution & Supply Chain Background -

Essential.nA CPC National / International qualification, demonstrating your deep understanding of transportation regulations –

Advantageous.n2+ Years Transport supervisory or management experience within a 3PL / Haulage / Retail or FMCG environment –

Essential.nProven experience in assisting with / managing 20+ vehicles –

Essential.nSub-contracting experience is highly advantageous but not essential.nA true passion for people development, providing excellent service and continuous improvement.nStrong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence.nCommutable to the Hinckley, Leicestershire area 5 days per week -

Essential.
