£500-£550 per day Ltd company

12 month contract with immediate extension expected - long term role with plenty of work

JOB FOCUS:

As a Business Intelligence Data Warehouse Consultant, you will be supporting a technical migration project, documenting, and translating requirements for a Data Lake and Lakehouse project. This is not a Developer role but a Consulting role so you will be effectively be working as a Technical Analyst and a bridge between Technology and Business.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Collate, Analyse and Document Business Requirements and Processes, including preparation of functional specifications, test cases and training materials.

Translate Requirements into Data Engineering and Data Modelling functional specifications.

Communicate and assist the technical team to deliver specifications.

Investigate, and collaborate with the technical team to support and close any quality issues raised.The ideal candidate will be additionally assigned to oversee and lead projects.

Coordinate with relevant stakeholders, including business users, delivery teams, vendors, security, and architects.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Technology / Skillset

Cloud (Azure Data PF) / Databricks / Power BI

Expert level experience in the design of medium-to-large scale Data Lake & Analytics applications.

Prior technical experience in the design and deployment of a Data Lake.

Technical knowledge/expertise in the following: Azure Databricks, PowerBI, Data Lakes

Familiar with SAP-based SDMM and FICO objects and data structures.

Business / Skillset

Delivering projects to end-users across various geographical regions.

Ability to converse with highly technical offshore developers and also non-technical unit heads as stakeholders

Project Manager / Business Analyst ability to gather requirements and translate into Data specifications.

Location

All candidate must live within a hour and a half of Weybridge, Surrey and must be prepared to travel to the office 3 days a week (flexibility on days).
