Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are currently recruiting for an interim Building Safety Compliance Officer for a registered provider in South Birmingham.
This role is a hybrid-position for a true community organisation,
Starting asap, initially the post would be on an interim 3-month contract. The Building Safety Compliance Officer role is full-time, ensuring they are complying with a wide range of legislation regarding Building Safety Compliance.
It will sit within the Planning and Commission Team supporting the Head of Service.
The Building Safety Compliance Officer will be expected to:
* To act as Building Safety Compliance Officer ensuring BVT is complying with a wide range of legislation regarding Building Safety Compliance.
* Support the onsite delivery of capital Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) components
* Provide specialist performance data and proactive compliance analysis to ensure value for money and the delivery of the highest quality services to customers
* Effectively manage the day to day delivery of building safety compliance contracts.
* Lead and manage monthly contract progress meetings
* Produce KPI’s, statistical and financial reports and statutory returns
* Present data information and analysis findings to senior management
* Work with customer groups to enhance services regarding building safety and increase customers' awareness regarding joint responsibilities
* Provide customers and residents with fire safety information.
* Work in partnership with external partners to ensure delivery of the Corporate Plan
The below is required to secure the Building Safety Compliance Officer post:
* Experience of building safety compliance management and delivery
* Experience of working in a housing or private property sector environment
* Experience of managing multiple compliance activities
* Working knowledge of building safety compliance activities
