You'll play a key role in building, automating, and maintaining critical data platforms that underpin large-scale, high-performance systems.This position suits someone who enjoys working across infrastructure, automation, and database technologies - ensuring reliability, scalability, and security through modern engineering practices.Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust, scalable infrastructure solutions that support key applications and data systems. Monitor and optimise database and system performance, proactively identifying and resolving incidents or vulnerabilities. Automate operational processes using scripting and configuration management tools to improve efficiency and consistency. Implement and maintain secure configurations to protect infrastructure and data from cyber threats. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver aligned, high-quality solutions. Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering organisation. Skills and Experience Essential: Hands-on experience with MongoDB in production environments. Strong knowledge of Ansible for database or infrastructure configuration management. Exposure to DevOps automation tools such as Git , Jira , and CI/CD pipelines. Understanding of modern reliability and incident response practices. Desirable: Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Proficiency in scripting languages (Python or Bash) for automation and migration tasks. Familiarity with SRE principles and data-driven operational improvement.
