Manufacturing Engineer

* Develop and design automation solutions, including robotic systems, for the production, test and assembly of aerospace components and structures.
* Identify areas for automation within manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance product quality.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with automation systems, providing solutions for repair, reprogramming, or upgrading equipment.
* Ensure requirement compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly regarding safety and quality control.
* Support the NPI team on design for automation, optimising best method of manufacturing.
* Develop an inspection strategy for vision and sensor inspection technology.
* DFMA, tolerance, design optimisation and value engineering
Experience Required
* Robot, external axes and PLC integration experience over 3 years.
* Robot programming language at advanced level such as RAPID.
* Programming language C++
* Force control integration and programming experience.
* Electrical wiring and robot circuit integration experience.
* Problem Solving & Creativity
* Managing Projects
Desired Qualifications & Skills
* Robot programming language such as RAPID
* Experience working with Solidworks, TIA Portal and Robot Studio.
* Robot studio and automation simulation.
* PLC programming certified.
