Our client is looking for an experienced Planner to join the team in Leeds looking after projects across the Yorkshire region. The successful candidate will manage the timely delivery of the construction programme, ensuring operations and the commercial teams are fully aligned to the plan. Assure programme submissions are compliant with NEC contractual guidelines. Lead on programme review sessions with internal and external stakeholders. Own and update the programme risk & issue plan.
Specific Duties:
Build, manage and maintain detailed construction programme(s) for FTTP delivery, monitoring progress and ensuring GBC are on track to achieving key milestones and THP.

Submit fortnightly programme updates into the client in line with NEC contractual clauses.

Update daily the latest progress into the Microsoft Project schedule coordinating with subcontractors.

Inputting risk/delays into the schedule, assessing the impact and reporting into the GBC project team.

Capture any early warnings, compensation events or project management instructions into the project schedule.

Liaise with the internal operations team to understand the resource profile & productivity assumptions ensuring the schedule is up to date with the latest information.

Liaise with the project coordinators and subcontractor coordinator to advise of key delivery dates in the programme.

Understand the critical path of the programme and work with the wider team when slippage is identified.

Work closely with the relevant quantity surveyor to ensure they are aligned with the programme for commercial forecasting.

Own, update and drive resolution of the Risk & Issue log(s).

Build strong Client relationships.

Find efficiencies and improvements in internal and external processes.

Input data into internal and client systems where required to ensure alignment.

Any other duties as assigned.

Microsoft Project experience is essential / Ideally within this field.

Adept at manipulating client tools/reports on a regular basis.

This job is a full-time permanent role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Birmingham Office.
