TeacherActive is proud to be working with an independent specialist residential college based in the heart of Sheffield to look for a Residential Support Worker / RSW.  It provides residential and day education for young people aged 16-25 with complex needs: emotional behavioural difficulties, social and emotional mental health needs, autism and other learning difficulties. We are looking for a Residential Support Worker / RSW to work on a full-time or part-time basis, shift patterns will vary. 
The successful Residential Support Worker / RSW will have some of the following to be considered for this position:
Support work / care work experience
Mental health awareness / experience dealing with vulnerable people
Experience working with those who display challenging behaviour
Experience supporting young people 
Flexibility with shifts 
A willingness to be proactive and adaptable to change
A 'can-do' attitude 
Experience of working to therapeutic models such as P.A.C.E
Level 3 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or the willingness to work towards this
