A leading energy trading organization are offering the opportunity for a Programmer to come join their technology department.


Position Overview:

As a Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting delivery operations through the design, development, and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets, delivery operations applications, and live pricing systems. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure requirements are met and solutions are delivered effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for delivery operations Excel spreadsheets, participating in a rota system.
  • Design and amend delivery operations spreadsheets to enhance functionality and efficiency.
  • Conduct analysis, design, and implementation of delivery operations processes to develop delivery operations applications.
  • Build operations reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide support for live pricing systems and spreadsheets, ensuring real-time accuracy and reliability.
  • Design and develop live update pricing reports and screens for enhanced user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to document requirements and obtain signoff.
  • Work with colleagues to develop, test, and deliver solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience with real-time data (RTD) management.
  • Proficiency in ETL processes using SSIS and scripting languages.
  • Strong ability to develop SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions.
  • Expertise in relational databases, particularly Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.


The role is onsite 3 days per week in London with a salary up to £90k with flexibility for the right candidate. The wider package includes bonus, pension, Bupa healthcare and more.
