We have a strong sporting culture that enjoys an enviable reputation. While excellence in sport is one goal, we also seek to ensure all pupils benefit from physical exercise and a broad programme of activity suited to their interests and needs.

Both schools share a green and well-equipped campus, which includes courts, pitches (artificial and grass), a swimming pool, a sports hall, a gymnasium, a high-ropes course, a mountain bike course and a yurt-style building to support Forest School.

We are moving to a cohesive whole-school sport model and aim to further develop our wider outdoor education offer, seeking to deepen and strengthen what is already a healthy provision at both schools.

We are seeking to appoint a Director of Sport and Outdoor and Adventurous Activities. The successful candidate will work closely with the Heads of Trent College and The Elms and School Leadership to agree the priorities and ambitions for physical activity. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of all PE teaching and games coaching, together with the professional development of all colleagues involved in this. In addition, the you will also line manage and direct outdoor pursuits activity.

The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, have excellent communication skills and be able to inspire and motivate pupils and staff.
