Main Purpose of the job

The Head of Procurement is responsible for overseeing the procurement activities of the company, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality services at competitive prices. This role involves strategic planning, supplier relationship management, risk management, data analysis and the continuous improvement of procurement processes. A strong focus on supply chain analysis across our brands to help focus Innovus on shaping business strategy and potential areas of growth and opportunity.

The Head of Procurement will lead a team of procurement professionals and work closely with other departments to align procurement strategies with overall business objectives.

Position in Organisation

The role reports to the Director of Business Services and will have 1 direct report, overseeing a procurement team of 10.

Main Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and LeadershipnDevelop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.nLead and manage the procurement team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.nMonitor and analyse market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.

Supplier ManagementnBuild and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.nNegotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best value for the company.nEvaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality standards.

Procurement OperationsnOversee the entire procurement process from requisition to payment.nEnsure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.nImplement procurement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.

Financial ManagementnManage the procurement budget and ensure cost savings and efficiency.nAnalyse procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and report on key metrics.nCollaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.nIdentify business opportunities through the supply chain for Innovus to be able to support organic growth across the Emeria group.

Compliance and Risk ManagementnEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.nDevelop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain risks.nConduct regular audits and assessments of procurement activities.

Cross-functional CollaborationnWork closely with key stakeholders in the Emeria group to understand and fulfil their procurement needs and business opportunities for Innovus.nAct as a liaison between the procurement team and other stakeholders.nSupport business development by providing procurement expertise and insights.

Qualifications and Experience

of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.nVision: Ability to develop and implement long-term procurement strategies.nProven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.nExcellent ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.nCommitment to ethical procurement practices and compliance.nnegotiation and contract management skills.nanalytical and strategic thinking abilities.nin procurement software and tools.ncommunication and interpersonal skills.norganisational and project management skills.
