Willo Education are looking to appoint a bank of exceptional Lunchtime Supervisors to start at a school in Edgbaston on a long-term basis.
You will play a key role in supervising pupils during the school lunch break. The hours will be: 12:45 – 13:45 Monday to Friday.
Duties include:
* set up of the lunchroom with lunch tables and clear away / clean down afterwards
* ensure that pupils having a school lunch are in the dining hall at the correct time
* help younger pupils at the server counter with the proper use of cutlery, and help them cut up their food when necessary
* assist pupils with the return of used plates, trays, cutlery, and beakers, and with the cleaning of tables when lunch is finished
* supervise pupils eating food brought from home, and ensure that all packed lunch equipment is cleared away after use
* report to line management any child whose diet may give rise for concern
* take charge of groups of children in the playground or the classroom, depending on the weather
* devise and initiate constructive play and development opportunities for children when required
* ensure that children remain within a safe environment, and that they play safely
* set suitable behaviour standards in line with school policy
* help children acquire social skills
* attend to minor accidents and injuries sustained during the lunchtime break and seek appropriate assistance if necessary
To Apply for this role you must have the following:
* Right to work in the UK
* Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one.
* Be reliable, flexible and hard working.
* Available Monday – Friday
* Happy to assist taking children to the toilet / personal care if required.
* Have strong and clear verbal communication.
