Field Service Engine Technician – Green Energy

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a technician to work on Power Generation Green Energy assets which convert Landfill Gas into Green Energy. The role will entail reactive and planned preventative maintenance on large scale gas engines which convert the gas into electricity.
The Ideal candidate will have experience performing reactive maintenance on engines within the Automotive, Heavy Vehicle or Marine environments and be available to work Morning, Afternoon, Evening and weekend shifts.
Full training will be provided for candidates with previous experience with engine maintenance of any size, the training program will scale up their knowledge of engines to be able to transfer their experience to large-scale gas engines. Armed Forces candidates with a marine, RAF or Army backgrounds will also be considered.
As an Field Service Engine Technician, you will be responsible for:
Travelling to sites across Cambrdigeshire, Northamptonshire, East Anglia and Essex attending engine breakdowns and providing reactive maintenance support
Support the overhaul and service teams when required
Logging and updating work orders on the maintenance system
Fulfilling and promoting site Health and Safety 
Overseeing external contractors
Other duties as required
To be considered for this role you should have:
Strong understanding of combustion engines
Experience fault finding and performing maintenance on engines
A relevant level 2 or higher qualification in mechanical engineering, motor engineering or mechanics
Strong health and safety awareness
Ability to work morning, afternoons and evening shifts, 12 hour days and weekends
Full UK Driver’s License essential
