The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promoting a culture of safety within the project.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies and procedures specific to nuclear energy projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Provide HSE training and education to project staff and contractors.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to project management and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure all project activities comply with nuclear safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental awareness within the project team.

**Qualifications:**

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the nuclear or energy sector.
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards, including nuclear safety.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Professional certification in HSE (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is highly desirable.
