We are recruiting for a dedicated special school providing exceptional education and care to secondary-aged pupils with profound learning difficulties. Job Description: We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of our students. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment that promotes academic progress and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver creative and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of students with PMLD.
Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and support staff to ensure the holistic development of each student.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and carers.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies and procedures.Qualifications and Experience:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
Experience working with students with severe learning difficulties, preferably in a PMLD setting.
Strong understanding of SEN pedagogy, including differentiating instruction and adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
