Purpose of the Job
We are recruiting a Software Engineer to work in our product engineering team, translating research and development into released product. This role is an exciting opportunity to work within a multifunctional team and part of a dynamic workforce.
Responsibilities
* Apply software engineering expertise to produce high quality code for our products
* Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of colleagues to define requirements and implement solutions
Requirements
Essential Requirements
* Bachelor and/or Master degree in an engineering subject
* 2 years commercial experienced in software design and development
* Proficient in Python and Linux systems
* Understands git code repositories and CI/CD
* Some experience in software codes for instrument control and/or application development for other users
* Well-organized and detail-oriented, writes high-quality code that is robust and easy to maintain
* Enthusiastic, self-starter motivated to work on projects hands-on in a team environment
Desireable Requirements
* Familiarity with C/C++ and embedded Linux systems (e.g. Nvidia Jetson)
* Experience with cloud infrastructure tools: GCP, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
* Exposure to machine learning fundamentals such as training data and models, programming for GPUs
* Empathetic with has an eye for end-user experiences
* Comfortable with ambiguity, and able to take a lead on defining scope and requirements
