As the Automotive Product Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all aspects associated with maintaining UKAS accreditation for SGS United Kingdom Limited.
From conceptualization to execution, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of Automotive contracts on time, within budget, and in accordance with internal and accreditation requirements.
Main Purpose of Role
* To ensure SGS United Kingdom Limited maintains and adheres to accreditation requirements
* To plan and conduct professional management system audits in accordance with SGS procedures to enable delivery of assessment and certification services that meet customer requirements and appropriate accreditation standards.
* To maintain and further develop procedures and resources for the profitable delivery of automotive certification.
* To provide technical expertise, support and training where required to Technical & Accreditation manager, SGS UK automotive auditors, affiliates and line Manager.
* To expand the range of products and services delivered in the sector and support sales activities
* Project management of key clients as required.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain up to date sector knowledge and expertise, and cascade this to other auditing staff.
* Research, develop and maintain Product procedures, quality plans, briefing notes and guidance notes
* Assist Certification Managers to ensure appropriate endorsement of Product Qualification Records for the automotive standards.
* Adhere to the accredited office’s responsibilities stated in the supporting office agreements with the relevant affiliates.
* In conjunction with the Certification managers, to source, manage and train sub-contracted staff to assist in the delivery of certification work in the Product.
* Seek opportunities to expand client base in conjunction with the Sales Manager and Client Managers.
* Liaise as necessary with professional bodies and organizations to protect and develop the company's commercial and technical interests in the sector
Qualifications
Essential requirements
* Demonstrate strong working knowledge and experience of ISO9001 / ISO 14000 and ISO 45000
* Lead Auditor IATF16949
* Extensive experience within Automotive industry
* Experience of working under own initiative and in planning and prioritizing workloads.
Desirable requirements
* Experience of managing and leading teams.
* Developing Quality Management systems
* Previous Automotive Project Management experience is adventageous.
* Degree, Post Grad Diploma , Msc or equivalent in relevant subject is adventageous
