We have a great opportunity to join the education team at HMP Durham as an Industrial Cleaning Trainer on a permanent, part-time basis, working 25.9 hours per week.
What the role entails
HMP Durham are looking for an experienced Industrial cleaning trainer to join their team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons, tailoring your teaching to meet the needs of each individual learner. We believe in providing our learners with the tools they need to build a brighter future and increase their employability. This is an amazing and rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive team with on-site training and great progression routes.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in Industrial cleaning.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
Assess learner needs and develop individualised learning plans.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Support learners in achieving their qualifications.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes for all learners.
Stay up to date with curriculum changes and best practices in functional skills education.What we need from you
To be successful in the Trainer role, you will need:
Service experience.
Flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
Have excellent interpersonal skills.
Have experience working in Industrial Cleaning.
Willing to gain Award in Education within 6 months.
Willing to gain the TAQA assessment qualification within probation.
Commitment to gain a subject-specific qualification to allow them to train to Level 3, within 2 years.
Commitment to gain an assessor award required by relevant Awarding Bodies, within one year.
Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.Colleague Benefits
