5D Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a leading bespoke machinery manufacture. Their products are predominately used in the power generation and automotive sectors.

Due to a sustained period of growth and a commitment to introducing new products and to drive efficiency within the current assembly operation we are looking to recruit an Engineering & Warehouse Operative who will be responsible for inputting the relevant data into the SAP system.

This role is initially offered on a minimum 9 month contract with the real possibility that this will be extended well beyond. Overtime is available and paid at premium rates.

What the Role will Involve:

• Ensure the yard and associated areas are kept in a clean safe and tidy condition.
  
• Loading and unloading of vehicles as and when required and acting as Banksman to ensure the safety of all while delivery and collection vehicles are on site.
  
• Preparing machines and ancillaries for loading into containers or on to vehicles
  
• Ensure all items that are required to be recorded and reported are completed in line with the timeline and quality required.
  
• Goodsin carrying out inspections of incoming materials and checking for and reporting damages.
  
• Goodsout checking items for damages .
  
• Prepare stock for storage in the yard and other on site storage facilities/
  
• Delivering items to the Production areas
  
• Site Maintenance duties including but not limited to the following :
  
  • Grass mowing
    
  • Hedge Trimming
    
  • DIY tasks
    
  • Leaf and litter clearance
    
  • Ensure pallets / cable drums are stored in an orderly fashion.
    
  • Assisting with the storage of Waste and recycling materials
    

What we are looking for in the Yard Operative:

• Experience in a similar role in a busy yard in a engineering / manufacturing / logistics environment.
  
• Experience operating a Counterbalance FLT.
  
• Driving license.
