Business Intelligence Analyst

We are representing Royal Borough of Greenwich in resourcing for a Business Intelligence Analyst.
Purpose of Job:
To be responsible to the Service Leader for Youth Justice, and for:
1. Working across Council departments and partner agencies to collect and coordinate various types of intelligence and performance (business intelligence) data to support professionals working with families impacted by serious youth violence or exploitation
2. Oversee and manage effective systems for collection and dissemination of a wide range of related intelligence, information and data. This includes the appropriate assessment and quality assurance of intelligence submitted or received by the Council.
3. Using research and analysis in order to support and give direction to planning, problem solving and performance management. Attending multi agency and operational meetings to present and discuss data, and analysis requirements, or to present evaluated findings, implications and recommendations.
4. Building knowledge and expertise as a resource for the team in key areas of Youth Justice and utilise this expertise in the production of analytical products.
Essential Skills Required:
1. Advanced user of MS Excel (data manipulation and statistical analysis).
2. Experience and understanding of using and interrogating multiple datasets for analysis and performance monitoring, including use of Microsoft Access.
3. Experience of using a Geographical Information System (preferably MapInfo) for analysis
