The role: Logistics / Porter
The purpose of our Logistics/Porter is to work within BT's Better Workplace Building in Bristol Assembly and be responsible for managing the flow of goods and items into, around and out of the building on behalf of the FM team. Waste management, supporting the back of house teams and any events going on in the building.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
* Moving plant, equipment, furniture, deliveries, and materials around site efficiently as required by the facilities team workstreams.
* Helping the Host team with event set ups, floor resets, meeting room resets, unloading of equipment, porterage of items around the building, and resetting rooms/spaces after an event.
* Managing all deliveries that come to site for the workplace services team and distributing stock into the correct storerooms.
* Keeping relax and refuel areas tidy, including the loading and unloading of dishwashers on floors 1-4, and tea, coffee, squash top ups.
* Refilling of soap dispensers in our relax and refuel areas across all floors.
* Support with signing in events contractors.
* Support with site waste management.
* Weekly inventory of stock
* The effective management of consumable stock and distribution throughout the building.
* Managing the distribution of our weekly milk delivery.
* Manage maintenance of the carpark and ensure goods are moved to correct location in the building.
* Reporting and managing issues or breakdowns of equipment through our helpdesk team.
* Reporting any hazards found in the building.
* Building and sustaining effective relationships within the customer organisation.
* Work in line with CBRE Health & Safety policy, ensuring that safe systems of work are always adopted whilst creating a safe working environment for our customers and colleagues alike.
* Ensure compliance with all processes and procedures, statutory requirements & engineering standards.
* Support sustainability through clear and concise management on site of all waste movements and supporting with recycling initiatives.
* Other relevant duties consistent with the general requirements of our services delivery as directed by the Workplace experience manager. This will include help with watering of external plants in the summer, helping host team with distribution of printing stationery, kitchen supplies distribution around the site and other general requirements.
