Purpose of the Job

•Leading the Response: Acting swiftly and decisively during security incidents to mitigate risks.

•Incident Lifecycle Management: Overseeing incidents from the moment of detection, through the containment and eradication stages, to the final resolution.

•Post-Incident Analysis: Conducting detailed investigations post-incident to understand the root cause and to develop strategies to prevent recurrence.

•Continuous Monitoring: Keeping a vigilant eye on the organization's security systems to detect any suspicious activities early.

•Threat Analysis: Evaluating potential threats and vulnerabilities to ensure that the organization is prepared to defend against them.

•Strategic Defense Implementation: Putting in place robust security measures to protect the organization's information assets.

•Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborating with various teams and entities to ensure a unified security strategy.

This role demands a proactive mindset, deep technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to navigate the complex and ever-evolving cyber threat landscape. It's about being always prepared, constantly learning, and effectively communicating to maintain and enhance the organization's security posture.


Tasks & Responsibilities

•Evaluate and manage security incidents by analyzing alerts from diverse sources and collaborating with external monitors to identify and address potential threats.

•Serve as a primary incident responder, leading the containment and resolution process in line with established protocols to reduce risks.

•Enhance security procedures to improve the organization's monitoring, detection, and threat mitigation capabilities.

•Support the development and deployment of systems for threat detection and response, ensuring optimal performance.

•Synthesize and prioritize data from logs and events, managing the workflow of incident reports and coordination with external partners.

•Utilize global threat intelligence to stay informed about emerging threats and shape security measures and responses.

•Document and report all security incidents and investigative actions, providing thorough analyses and follow-up measures.


Qualifications

·Degree in Computer Science, or related experience.

·Professional certifications such as CSA, CompTIA Security+ / CySA+, GIAC GSEC, GCIH or other comparable degree or other relevant experience.

Professional Competencies

·Solid grasp of cybersecurity concepts, including threat identification, risk assessment, and incident management, coupled with practical experience in applying security measures and utilizing relevant tools and technologies.
