Elevation Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Plastics company in Barnsley to hire a skilled Injection Moulding / Extrusion Tool Setter.


Location : Barnsley

Salary : Up to £33k

Shift Pattern : 3 Shift Rotation (Mornings, Afternoons, Nights)


Key Responsibilities :

  • Set up, adjust, and maintain extrusion / injection moulding machines to meet production standards
  • Perform tool changes efficiently to minimize downtime
  • Monitor machinery to ensure consistent product quality
  • Keep the work area clean and organised
  • Work closely with the quality team to ensure finished products meet quality standards
  • Adjust machine parameters to sustain production levels
  • Troubleshoot moulding issues
  • Promptly report any issues to line managers
  • Ensure production targets are met on time


Requirements :

  • Previous experience in operating and setting extrusion / injection moulding machinery, within the plastics industry
  • Strong knowledge of PVC processing and extrusion / injection moulding techniques
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to follow technical instructions
