An excellent primary school, nestled in the charming area of Dukinfield, Tameside, is currently seeking a dedicated PE teacher to join their dynamic team. This position is to start in June until the end of the academic year with the potential of an extension, depending on your success in the role. As a Primary School PE Teacher, you will have the opportunity to deliver dynamic and engaging lessons to our eager young learners. You will play a crucial role in promoting physical activity, teamwork, and healthy living among our students, helping them develop essential skills and a lifelong love for fitness and sport.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for PE and leading an active lifestyle, coupled with experience working with primary-aged children. Whether you're an experienced educator or a fresh graduate eager to make a difference, this position welcomes individuals who are enthusiastic, creative, and committed to nurturing young minds.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons that are inclusive, enjoyable, and aligned with the national curriculum.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to participate.
Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage students of varying abilities and interests.
Organise and lead extracurricular sports activities, clubs, and events to promote physical fitness and sportsmanship including schools tournaments and leading the sports teams to success
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external partners to support the holistic development of the pupils

Essential Requirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) or background experience as a HLTA/Cover Supervisor
Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or coaching capacity.
Strong knowledge of the primary PE curriculum and best practices in teaching PE
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Strong references to support your background in a sports/primary setting
Be subject to an enhanced DBS check
Proof of right to work in the UK
