Manage a complex caseload, conducting assessments and interventions to safeguard children and promote their welfare.
Prepare high-quality court reports, attending and presenting evidence.
Work collaboratively with legal professionals, other agencies, and stakeholders involved in the court process to advocate for the best interests of the child.
Undertake Parenting assessment and work directly with children
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with statutory regulations and departmental policies.Requirements:
A recognised social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience as a Children's Social Worker within a court environment and knowledge about writing evidence reports.
Sound knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to children's services and family court processes.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions in complex situations.Benefits
Social Workers with Sutton Council will receive a Welcome Bonus of £1000 paid in your first month salary followed by a Retention Bonus of £1000 after your first completed year of service, a retention bonus of £2000 after your second completed year, followed by a retention bonus of £3000 every completed year thereafter
