THE BUSINESS
 Our client is a leading printing & marketing business. The role of the Site Supervisor is to manage the production teams to ensure quality and productivity targets are met along with meeting customer deadlines.  This is a fast paced, bespoke manufacturing business working to very tight deadlines.  The role is suited to someone with experience of working in a bespoke manufacturing environment. This is a very” hands on” role where you will be expected to be working in the production environment as well as carrying out duties of the Supervisor
THE ROLE
Managing skilled and semi-skilled machine operators.
Monitoring daily employee performance to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and in line with customer needs.
Ensure operators are working to their schedule and oversee progress.
Planning resources to match demand and customer deadlines.
Monitoring jobs through production and rescheduling to meet customer SLAs and deadlines.
Regular communication with other departments.
Attend and contribute to production planning and customer project meetings.
Developing and maintaining operator training programmes whilst training and integrating new employees into the workplace.
Agreeing and maintaining maintenance schedules.
Developing and implementing improved production process ideas   
             THE PERSON + ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
This role is best suited to someone that has previous experience of working within a print/bindery role; however, we will consider exceptional candidates that have worked outside of the industry.
Must be highly organised, structured, and flexible.
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines whilst keeping a calm, level-headed approach.
Ability to think on their feet, changing production priorities at a moment’s notice.
Ability to manage individuals on a one-to-one basis as well as team projects.
Leadership, motivational and conflict management skills.
Good decision-making skills, ability to delegate and have a ‘can do’ attitude.
Good spoken and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience working with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S or Keisen.
