Holly at Amber Mace is recruiting on behalf of an established care provider who supports adults, children, and young people with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The role covers sites in Wiltshire, Somerset, and Worcestershire. A full UK driving licence and vehicle access are essential, with business mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and systems.
* Supervise maintenance staff.
* Develop and implement maintenance schedules and health and safety inspections.
* Handle day-to-day maintenance tasks.
* Manage expansion projects.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Manage facilities budget and optimise costs.
* Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers.
* Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
* Equip facilities to handle emergencies and interruptions.
* Implement sustainable practices.
Qualifications:
* Qualified tradesperson (builder/carpenter/electrician) – Essential
* City and Guilds Level 4 or higher in construction or equivalent – Essential
* NEBOSH, IOSH, and IWFM qualifications – Preferred
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years in maintenance management or a related role.
* Proven experience in building operations and maintenance.
* Skills: Strong leadership and team management.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Strong organisational and multitasking.
* Excellent communication and negotiation.
* Full driving licence and vehicle access essential.
