Role Overview:
As the R&D Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company by leading our Research and Development team. Your primary focus will be on enhancing our existing product portfolio while championing the development of new, innovative solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of new product development projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently, on time, within budget, and in accordance with our NPD stage gate process.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the initiation, planning, execution, and successful completion of new product development projects.
Drive the enhancement of existing products through innovative improvements and upgrades.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to ensure alignment and seamless execution of projects.
Establish and maintain clear project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Utilise market research and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence within the R&D team.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex R&D projects within the electronics industry.
Strong understanding of product development processes, including stage gate methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
