Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:nEfficiently oversee day-to-day operations, including staff scheduling, inventory control, and venue maintenance.nEnsure compliance with health and safety regulations and licensing requirements.
Team Leadership:nRecruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team across bartenders, servers, hosts, and support staff.nCultivate a positive and collaborative work environment, fostering teamwork and professional development.
Guest Experience:nUphold and enhance the bar's reputation for delivering an exceptional guest experience.nImplement strategies to consistently surpass customer expectations and increase bookings and footfall.
Financial Management:nMaintaining cost control without compromising quality.nMonitor sales and profitability, identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
Marketing and Promotion:nCollaborate with the Chief Marketing Officer to plan and execute promotions, events, menus and initiatives based on monthly highlights.
Quality Control:nEnsure the quality of food and beverages meets established standards.nAddress customer feedback promptly, implementing improvements as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:nProven experience as a General Manager in the hospitality industry in a high-volume environmentnStrong leadership and organisational skills.nExcellent communication and interpersonal abilities.nIn-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations.nFamiliarity with London's nightlife and hospitality landscape.nAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Expectations:
Oversee daily operations and confidently run busy shifts, ensuring a seamless experience for our guests.nBe involved in P&L management, stock control, meeting targets, and submitting reports.nBe a creative manager, coming up with innovative ideas to make our bar the best place to visit and work.nManage and develop a team of professionals, inspiring and incentivising them to deliver 5-star Google rating service.nEnsure compliance with licences, risk assessments, and health & safety standards.nOrganise team rotas and efficiently manage labour.
Skills and Experience:nAt least 4 years of experience managing a busy high-volume bar.nExcellent leadership, training, and team-building skills.nMethodical, thorough, and effective problem-solving abilities.nApproachable, self-motivated, and driven with excellent communication skills.nHands-on
