Senior Structural Design Engineer – Freelance Rate: £45–£50/ hour Outside IR35 Location: London Start: Immediate Our client, a well respected, international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, is looking for a Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their London office on a long-term freelance basis . This is a key role supporting the delivery of major data centre projects across the UK and Europe. The Company Well-established multidisciplinary consultancy who are one of the leading players in the mission-critical/ data centrer market. Impressive Central London office with hybrid working. Known for high-quality engineering delivery and long-term partnerships with blue-chip developers and contractors. Key Responsibilities The Senior Structural Design Engineer will be leading the structural design and analysis of steel and reinforced concrete structures. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will deliver calculations, design reports, and technical drawings to industry standards. Collaborate with architects, MEP designers and external stakeholders to ensure coordinated outputs. The Senior Structural Design Engineer will be contributing to design reviews, value engineering and buildability assessments. Ensure all work complies with Eurocodes and relevant British Standards. Skills & Background Degree-qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering Chartered or working towards CEng (ICE or IStructE). Strong structural design background within consultancy environments. Proficient in tools such as Revit, Tekla Structural Designer or ETABS. Strong understanding of design processes from concept through to detailed design. The ideal Structural Design Engineer will bring strong design experience in concrete and steel structures and be fully competent with codes and procedures (Eurocodes, British Standards, AISC, ACI, ASCE7 etc.) If you are an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer looking for a long-term freelance opportunity in London, please apply or contact the Aylin White team for a confidential conversation.
