Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team starting in September. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with SEN pupils and be passionate about making a positive impact on their learning and development. This full-time role involves working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to pupils with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Support SEN pupils in their learning, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
Assist in the planning and delivery of individualised education plans (IEPs).
Provide one-on-one and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs.
Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.
Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting support as necessary.
Participate in school activities, events, and ongoing professional development opportunities.Requirements:
Previous experience working with SEN pupils in a primary school setting is essential.
Strong understanding of various special educational needs and effective support strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.Why Join Us?
