Financial Controller Location: London - 5 days a week Contract: Permanent Sector: Building & Services Overview: Stanton House is partnering with a prominent, London-based building & services business to recruit a Financial Controller. This is a key opportunity to take ownership of the finance function, overseeing financial operations, driving reporting and controls, and supporting strategic decision-making across a well-established and evolving business. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day transactional finance and lead the Finance/Accounting team. Drive budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis, and risk assessment. Maintain visibility of the company’s financial position and highlight improvement opportunities. Support the implementation and management of the finance IT system. Consolidate accounts and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Manage internal controls, audits, and statutory compliance. Lead finance projects, including payroll and benefits reviews. Provide financial insights to the executive team. Manage a team of 4 direct reports Candidate Profile: Experienced Financial Controller with senior-level finance leadership. Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA). Strong technical accounting, analytical, and strategic skills. Effective leader with excellent communication abilities. Proficient in Excel; Dynamics 365 experience beneficial. Commercially astute with solid knowledge of financial regulations. Industry experience in building and services preferred.
