Job Vacancy: Marketing & Communications Officer (Full-Time)


Salary Range: Grade E, Scale Point 17 - £33,785 per annum


Hours: 37 hours per week


Location: Aylesbury Town Council, Town Hall, 5 Church Street, Aylesbury HP20 2QP


Aylesbury Town Council is seeking a dynamic and proficient Marketing & Communications Officer to join their team. As the Marketing & Communications Officer, you will be instrumental in facilitating effective communication and marketing between the Parish Council and the local community, ensuring transparency, engagement, and awareness of our initiatives and projects.


Key Responsibilities:

- Develop engaging content for newsletters, social media, and the council's website.

- Maintain and update social media accounts to promote council activities and events.

- Update and manage content on the council's website to ensure accuracy.

- Promote community events and encourage resident participation.

- Act as a liaison with local media to create compelling press releases.


Qualifications:

- Proven experience in communications or public relations.

- Excellent storytelling, written, and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in social media management and content creation.

- Familiarity with website content management systems.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
