We are expert private client lawyers with a national reputation. Our client base comprises individuals, companies, schools, charities, landowners, farmers and estates and these clients are both local and national. We are client focused and work in collaboration with our clients.


The successful applicant will:

• work closely with all members of the wider Property team (of 4 partners and 12 other fee earners);

• provide assistance on large and often complex transactions dealing with the sale, purchase or letting of substantial rural properties and businesses. Transactions range from £500,000 - £50m and can include options, promotion agreements, surrenders, conditional contracts, joint ventures and similar structures;

• manage transactions and client relationships alone;

• work predominantly for private clients

• have a strong background in general property law and, ideally, experience in dealing with agricultural and rural property;

• ideally have some property finance, planning and development experience;

• be attentive to detail and able to work to deadlines

• display a positive attitude and be flexible

• have strong communication skills

• be commercially aware; and

• be willing to participate in the firm's business development activities


Hours of Work

9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday Core hours of 35 per week

* * There is the possibility with the senior position of it being a part-time and/or flexible working arrangement.
