Senior Legal Counsel: Marketing Media & Intellectual PropertynReading, United Kingdomn6 month FTC or Day Rate

We are looking to recruit an experienced and Qualified Senior Legal Counsel for a leading telecom company to join the Marketing, Media and Brand legal team on a 6 months contract.

Areas will include:nTrading – Advising on retail, online and distance sales, promotions, competitions, special offers, advising on speed claims and unlimited claims, and on new plans and tariffs. Defending company from ASA complaints and taking action against competitors. Advising on regulatory requirements relating to mobile and fixed line telecoms services.nMarketing, Brand and Partnerships – Advising on campaigns across media channels and on key marketing propositions and advertising strategies.nAdvising on brand management, protecting key intellectual property assets and managing trade mark portfolio. Working with other brands (such as Chelsea, GoggleBox, Live Nation, Paramount +) on creative collaborations.nMedia Buying and Targeted Advertising – Negotiating contracts with media buying agencies, advising on bringing elements of programmatic media buying in-house, bringing a new targeted advertising product to market, advising on cookie policies and data protection.nContractual support - Business partnering on a wide range of contracts including licensing, sponsorship, co-branding, app distribution, device sourcing, creative and media agencies, data monetisation and transfer, carrier billing contracts and morenDevices and Accessories - Working with procurement, trading and Group to negotiate purchase, after sales and marketing terms with a range of devices and accessories providers.nDigital Products - Supporting offers and rewards App + including on boarding a range of compelling offers to our customers, providing advice on data protection consents, data flows and customer journeys, management of third party offers. Advising on shopping, payments, carrier billing, content strategy and implementation.nBig Data - Providing data protection advice on monetisation of big data, including advising on legal risks associated with processing personal data and associated customer journeys data processing terms, working closely with our DPO team. Negotiating terms for analytics, hosting and monetisation brokerage.nMarketing Strategy - Collaborating on opportunities and risks associated with marketing 5G technology and the potential impact of Net Neutrality Regulations, lobbying Ofcom on customer benefits.

What we are looking for?nLawyer qualified in the UK or similar jurisdiction 8 years+ PQEnVaried legal experience in technology and commercial contractingnAbility to influence and persuade key stakeholders, shareholder representatives and senior counterpartiesnAbility to manage workload and priorities as part of a team; to summarise and communicate effectively at all levels;nIn-house experience required
