Role Overview:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support our commercial team in managing all aspects of the financial and contractual side of our dry lining and partitioning projects. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and grow within a supportive and innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for dry lining and partitioning projects.
* Perform detailed quantity take-offs and measurements from project drawings and specifications.
* Assist in the procurement of materials and subcontractors, ensuring best value and compliance with project requirements.
* Support the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
* Help in the preparation of monthly cost reports and cash flow forecasts.
* Assist in managing project variations and change orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
* Collaborate with contracts managers and site teams to monitor project progress and financial performance.
* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, contracts, and project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Recently gained/ or currently working towards a qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Previous experience in quantity surveying, preferably within the dry lining and partitioning sector, is an advantage but not essential.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in learning and development.
