Beauty Therapist Trainer

Overview
Our client, a training provider in Beauty, Health and Social Care,Customer Services, ICT, is seeking a proactive and highly driven individual to join their team as a Level 2 or 3 Beauty Therapist Trainer. This role is pivotal in ensuring the quality and outcomes of teaching, learning, assessment, and guidance within the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the Beauty Therapist Apprenticeship, ensuring high achievement and growth in service delivery while prioritizing student safety, enjoyment, and success.
Key Responsibilities
* Course Planning and Delivery:
* Develop and deliver comprehensive course programs for learners, including creating lesson plans and schemes of work using diverse learning technologies and methods.
* Conduct formative and summative assessments of students' learning, ensuring high standards in marking student work and, when applicable, administering examinations.
* Student Recruitment and Support:
* Assist with the recruitment, selection, and admission of students.
* Provide ongoing Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) to all learners to support their development and progression.
* Perform administrative duties to support the role, including enrolment, issuing certificates, completing monitoring forms, and maintaining supporting documents.
* Operational Readiness and Maintenance:
* Ensure the academy is consistently prepared for inspection by maintaining stock rooms, theory/practical rooms, and overall housekeeping standards.
* Uphold health and safety standards within the academy, including the maintenance of stock cupboards.
* Promotional Activities:
* Participate in promotional and marketing activities as required to enhance the visibility and reputation of the training programs.
* Team Collaboration and Flexibility:
* Work flexibly and undertake additional roles within the company as needed.
* Engage in personal development activities to maintain and enhance performance in the role.
* Contribute to moving the business forward by taking on any additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Essential:
* NVQ in Beauty Therapy.
* Recognized Assessor Award such as TAQA or CAVA.
* Recent and relevant teaching experience and industry competence.
* Experience in planning curriculum/courses and delivering them to a group of learners.
* Strong communication skills, motivation, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* Experience working in a college or with another training provider.
* Flexibility in working hours.
* Highly Desirable:
* Teaching Qualification at Level 3, such as the Award in Education and Training (AET) or PTLLS.
