We are looking for a reliable and motivated Assistant Car Salesperson to join our driven team specialising in second-hand vehicle sales.
We are a little different to the norm making this a varied and interesting opportunity
We sell over 200 cars a month, many to trade, and we buy a lot of cars requiring repair so a good understanding of faults and repairs would be a distinct advantage for this role.
This position involves working closely with customers and supporting various aspects of the car sales process, from sales and customer service to basic vehicle upkeep and general administrative tasks. If you are passionate about cars, money driven, customer-oriented and possess a willingness to jump into a hands-on role, we'd love to hear from you
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with vehicle inquiries, test drives, and general questions.
Provide detailed information about vehicle features, specifications, and history.
Engage and build rapport with potential buyers, supporting them throughout the sales process.
Maintain a welcoming sales environment.
Ensure vehicles are viewing ready, including some cleaning, vacuuming, and minor touch-ups.
Assist with addressing minor issues on vehicles before customer viewings.
Coordinate with mechanics for more extensive repairs when necessary.
Handle paperwork associated with car sales, including invoicing, warranty information and associated administration.
Maintain an organised filing system for documentation.
Assist with car listings and ensure all records are up to date.
Operate a forklift to move vehicles, displays, or inventory as needed
Ensure safety protocols are followed during all vehicle movements.
Person:
Experience in sales, ideally in the automotive sector (second-hand sales experience is very desirable).
Strong automotive knowledge and interest in cars
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for administrative and sales documentation.
Self-motivate
Proactive approach to work, with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Good sense of humour
Working Hours: 8:30am - 6:00pm, Mon to Fri and alternate Saturdays 8am to 1.00pm
Salary £27/£29k plus uncapped monthly performance bonus
