Locum Veterinarian*
*Contract Type:* Ongoing
*Work Schedule:* 4 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday)
*Our established veterinary practice in North London is known for providing high-quality care to our animal patients. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Locum Veterinarian to join our team on an ongoing basis starting from the week commencing 8th July 2024. We are seeking a skilled Locum Veterinarian to cover shifts in our busy practice. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to provide excellent medical and surgical care to our patients.
This position requires availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 09:00 to 19:00.
*Perform physical examinations and diagnose health issues in animals
* Develop and implement treatment plans for various medical conditions
* Conduct surgeries, including routine and emergency procedures
* Administer vaccinations and preventative care
* Provide dental care, including extractions
* Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventative health
* Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure the best care for patients
*Veterinary degree (DVM, VMD, BVSc, or equivalent)
* Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the UK
* Strong clinical skills in diagnostics, surgery, and patient care
* Compassionate and dedicated to animal welfare
*Experience in a small animal practice
* Proficiency with veterinary software systems
