THE COMPANY:
We're partnering exclusively with a Top Law Firm located in the heart of Manchester City Centre that is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk to join the team.
As a Legal Billing Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk, you'll be working within a busy billing team handling the monthly billing cycle, producing complex bills, handling billing queries and explaining ledger transactions to Partners/Clients. Ensuring billing is SRA and VAT Compliant.
This role requires an individual with Legal Billing Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk experience that has an impeccable attention to detail and strong communication skills to be able to liaise with partners within the firm.
The perfect opportunity to jump on board with a fast-growing business that is due to double in size in the coming years.
THE LEGAL BILLING CLERK / SALES LEDGER CLERK ROLE:
As the Legal Billing Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk, you'll be working within a small fast paced billing team handling a large volume of monthly bills.
Building exceptional relationships with partners and clients
Reviewing Billing requests and providing draft bills inline with SRA regulations and ensuring the correct VAT treatment is applied
Liaising with partners with regards to draft bills, seeking approval and sending to the end client for payment.
Handling queries and providing bill explanation along with a ledger breakdown on how the bill was prepared.
Conducting billing account and client account reconciliations
Providing support to other departments as required
Producing billing reports and cross charge reports THE PERSON:
Must have experience within a Legal Billing Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk role within a Law Firm. Exceptional Sales Ledger Clerk outside of legal will be considered providing they have good end to end ledger experience within a complementary industry, such as property or professional services fee earning environments.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies
A good understanding of VAT / NON-VAT Billing
Computer literate, in particular, with MS Excel to an intermediate level
Excellent communicator and relationship builder
Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines and timeframesTO APPLY:
