We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Renewable Energy Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy technologies, project management, as well as consulting in renewable energy.  This role, based in Cirencester, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in the renewable energy field.

 

As a Renewable Energy Consultant, you will be responsible for advising clients on the development, implementation, and optimisation of renewable energy projects. You will analyse energy needs, assess available resources, and recommend sustainable solutions tailored to each client's objectives and constraints. You will have a good understanding of renewable energy technologies as well as the unique needs of agricultural requirements. A knowledge of regulatory frameworks and market trends is also required. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.

 

Raw Energy was founded to help facilitate the growth in power generated from renewable sources and to ensure that energy generated is used as efficiently as possible. The team at Raw Energy is made up of experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation and agri-tech. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

·        Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' energy needs and objectives.

·        Anaerobic digestion and solar asset management.

·        Ability to consultant on all aspects of solar, particularly agricultural solar, ground mount and roof top.

·        Management of a 400 plus solar rooftop portfolio.

·        Develop customised renewable energy solutions based on available resources, technology options, and regulatory requirements.

·        Provide expertise and guidance on project planning, design, and implementation.

·        Perform financial analyses, including cost-benefit evaluations, ROI calculations, and budget estimations.

·        Assess potential risks and mitigation strategies for renewable energy projects.

·        Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in renewable energy.

·        Collaborate with third party stakeholders and asset owners.  

·        Communicate effectively with clients, presenting technical information in a clear and understandable manner.

·        Ability to build rapport with farmers and other agricultural stakeholders.

·        Support business development activities, including proposal writing, client presentations, and relationship management.

·        Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

·        Supervision of a Junior Renewable Energy Consultant.

 

  Experience and personal attributes:

 

Prospective candidates should be educated to degree level and be able to provide evidence of:

 

·        Minimum of 2 years of experience in renewable energy consulting or related field.

·        Strong expertise in renewable energy technologies.

·        Proven track record of successfully managing renewable energy projects from conception to operation.

·        Familiarity with financial modelling tools and techniques for evaluating project feasibility and financial performance.

·        Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy, with robust time-management skills. 

·        Excellent communicate skills.

·        Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

·        High proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

·        Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and environmental considerations for renewable energy projects.

·        Leadership capabilities, including managing contractors and third parties.

·        Being highly skilled in negotiation and project management.

·        Knowledge of relevant regulations and permitting processes in the UK.

·        Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

·        First-rate organisational skills with the ability to multitask.

·        Willingness to learn new skills and a can-do attitude.

·        The right to work in the U.K. and a full UK driving licence.
