A secondary school based in Hull is currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join their Finance Team on a 4 month temporary Fixed term Contract (FTC). The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate of £13.65 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay). This role also offers attractive working hours of 37 hours per week and is term time only, Monday to Friday, alongside a modern office and working environment, as well as free, on-site parking.
Working within the Finance / Office Team you will be an integral part of the business supporting the general finance function and day-to-day responsibilities of the school, This would be an excellent opportunity for an individual looking for a varied, transnational finance role.
Key responsibilities for the finance officer will include:
Purchase responsibilities
Raising purchase orders and receiving in
Raising sales invoices to customers
Asset Registration
Posting month end journals
Providing and communicating financial information to site operations manager and other non-financial users.
Raising manual sales orders
Weekly stock reconciliations
Responsibility for placing orders either via the purchase order system or with the school credit card including keeping accurate
records of orders placed.
Maintain a register of assets onto the asset register on a regular basis.
Liaise with students, staff, suppliers, and customers on a regular basis.
Responsibility for the educational trips and visits accounts, keeping accurate records and ensuring clear communication links
between the finance office and trip/visit organisers. 
To be successful in this Finance Officer opportunity you must:
Accounting and Finance experience
Business admin experience
Be able to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a small team
Be customer-focused and have excellent communication skillsThis role is easily commutable via car from Hull,  Beverley, Hedon, South Cave, Goole and surrounding areas and offers free parking on-site.
