About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Technical Architect to join a multidisciplinary product team within a public sector organization. This role focuses on delivering cutting-edge mobile services for a product that supports over 20,000 mobile devices used by a national workforce.

As a Lead Technical Architect, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing the technical strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure mobile solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive 5-year technical strategy for mobile services.
  • Lead technical design and architecture for key projects, including:
    • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) rollout.
    • Implementation of Mobile Threat Defence solutions.
    • Strategic review of Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools.
    • Introduction of eSIM technology.
  • Provide technical leadership to enhance user experience, reduce technical debt, and advance service maturity.
  • Collaborate with engineering, delivery, and analysis teams to ensure seamless implementation.
  • Align solutions with current and future user needs while championing innovation and emerging technologies.

What You'll Need

  • Expertise in enterprise mobile device management, including MDM solutions and BYOD strategies.
  • Proven experience in technical strategy development and delivering high-level designs for large-scale mobile services.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile security and threat defence technologies.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams effectively.
  • Understanding of enterprise-scale mobile solutions and their integration within complex organizational structures.
  • Active Security Clearance (SC) is required for this role

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement. While primarily remote, you'll spend approximately 40% of your time onsite at Manchester or Blackpool, collaborating with the team and stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.
