The Company: We are working with an award-winning Regional Building Contractor whose NW team would generally deliver projects for public and private sector clients valued up to £3 Million.
They are privately owned, long established, well respected and secure work from a combination of public sector procurement frameworks and private sector clients.
The Role:
Due to growth and an impressive pipeline of work already secured for 2024, they would like to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to their small but growing Commercial Team.
The role involves working closely with the Quantity Surveyors working on new build and refurbishment projects for blue chip clients.
On-going support and development will be provided by the QSs, Senior QS's and Company Directors.
Typical duties can include;
1. Subcontract management
2. Internal and external valuations
3. Subcontract final accounts
4. Document management and control
5. Completing take offs
6. Issuing payment notices
7. Placement and tracking of subcontract orders
You:
They would like to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their small, friendly Commercial team.
They are keen to speak with Assistant Quantity Surveyor with at least 2 years' practical Quantity Surveying experience gained locally.
They have a really good training and development programme that has seen a number of their junior QSs progress into QS and Snr QS roles.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England - they currently work on construction sites based in Lancashire, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.
You will be IT literate and have an understanding of construction contracts.
You will need to have a Driving Licence to be able to commute to the sites.
