Responsibilities
- Oversee the final stages of the residential development, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and within specified timelines.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors and tradesmen on site, including carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, and other finishing trades.
- Ensure all finishing work aligns with project plans, specifications, and quality standards.
- **Quality Control:**
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Identify and rectify any defects or issues in the finishing stages of construction.
- Maintain a snag list and ensure all items are completed to the satisfaction of the project manager and client.
- **Health and Safety:**
- Enforce health and safety policies on site, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Conduct regular safety audits and toolbox talks to address any potential hazards.
- **Coordination and Communication:**
- Liaise with the project manager, architects, and clients to ensure clear communication and understanding of project requirements.
- Schedule and manage the delivery of materials and supplies needed for finishing works.
- Ensure that all finishing works are carried out in accordance with the project timeline and budget.
- **Documentation and Reporting:**
- Maintain accurate records of progress, including daily logs, reports, and photographs.
- Provide regular updates to the project manager on the status of finishing works.
- Assist in the preparation of handover documents and ensure all necessary certifications and approvals are obtained.
#### Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Finishing Foreman or similar role in residential construction.
- Strong knowledge of finishing trades and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
#### Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant construction or trade certifications.
- Experience working on residential projects in the London area
