This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior legal professional from the financial services sector — with experience in CFD, FX, or brokerage environments, Crypto — who enjoys working in fast-moving, regulated businesses. About the Role: As Head of Legal will oversee daily operations of the legal department and manage a small team of 2. You’ll work closely with compliance and senior leadership, providing strategic legal guidance to support the company’s global activities, ensure robust governance, and enable commercial growth through sound legal and regulatory frameworks. What You’ll Be Doing: Working hands on as Senior Legal Counsel supporting the business, plus lead and mentor a small legal team Partner with compliance teams to ensure alignment and collaboration across regulatory and legal projects Advise on licensing, regulatory strategy, and market entry across new and evolving jurisdictions Draft, review, and negotiate a range of commercial, vendor, and partnership agreements Oversee dispute resolution, litigation, and external counsel engagement Maintain oversight of legal risk management and contract governance processes Provide strategic advice to the executive team and Board on complex legal and compliance issues Support governance and entity management across a growing international group What You’ll Bring: Qualified lawyer (LLB + SQE, JD, or equivalent) with 8+ years’ post-qualification experience Background FinTech, in particular you need experience in CFD’s, FX, brokerage, Crypto (prop trading a bonus) Strong working knowledge of regulatory frameworks – especially in the Seychelles (FSA), UK (FCA), UAE (SCA) Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and corporate governance Comfortable leading and mentoring a small team Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and commercial acumen Fluent in English (Arabic or Spanish would be an advantage) Why This Role: You’ll be joining a business on an exciting growth journey — expanding into new markets, scaling operations, and strengthening its global legal and compliance infrastructure.
