Senior Quantity Surveyor – £400 per day (Freelance / Ongoing Contract) Location: Manchester & Surrounding Areas Company: Leading Regional New Build Contractor Are you a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor seeking a long-term freelance opportunity with a respected regional contractor? We’re working with a leading new build specialist who is looking for an experienced professional to oversee a range of exciting new schemes in and around Manchester on an ongoing basis. The Role As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take full commercial responsibility for multiple new build projects, ensuring strong cost control, accurate forecasting, and effective subcontract management. You’ll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking contractor with a solid pipeline of residential and commercial schemes across the region. Key Responsibilities Oversee the commercial management of multiple new build schemes across Manchester Prepare and manage budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts Lead on subcontract procurement and negotiation Provide accurate cost reports and financial updates to senior management Work closely with project teams to deliver successful, profitable projects Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the new build contracting sector Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (JCT experience preferred) Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple live projects concurrently Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar What’s on Offer £400 per day (Outside IR35, depending on experience) Ongoing freelance role with consistent workload across Manchester Opportunity to work with a well-established, reputable regional contractor If you’re a confident and commercially astute QS looking for stability, autonomy, and a strong project pipeline — we’d love to hear from you.
