Our CNC Manager position is tasked with scheduling the departments workload in line with monthly delivery plans as well as the management of the team which includes apprentices, machine operators, programmers as well as pattern shop operatives.
Role responsibilities as a CNC Manager:
* Effective management the Machine and Pattern shop departments including performance reviews, ER issues such as attendance and timekeeping, coaching & development.
* Scheduling all department activities in line with monthly delivery plans.
* Training & mentoring junior team members’ including apprentices.
* Ensure we are working to Best Practice across all outputs.
* Ensure all Health & Safety measures are being implemented.
* Ensure we take a Continuous improvement approach to the department, looking for increased efficiencies, remain up to date with Best Practice.
Key skills as a CNC Manager:
* Previous experience of 3 & 5 axis.
* Proven management experience within motorsport or automotive sectors.
* Ability to work to multiple priorities.
* Experience in Composites Machining.
* Experience within an SME is desirable.
Education:
The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in engineering or the equivalent in CNC machining management experience within the automotive industry.
Salary as a CNC Manager:
From £45,000 per annum
Job Type:
* Full-time, permanent Monday – Friday 8am until 5pm
* Onsite
