As a Senior Veterinarian, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients, leading a team of veterinary professionals, and ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for promoting the health and well-being of animals.Key Responsibilities:Perform thorough physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations on a variety of animals.Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients, including medical, surgical, and preventive care.Conduct surgeries, including but not limited to spays, neuters, soft tissue surgeries, and dental procedures.Prescribe medications and administer treatments as necessary.Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.Leadership and Team Management:As a senior veterinary Surgeon, you will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to veterinary staff, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and continuous learning.Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to ensure efficient operation of the veterinary practice.Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.Client Communication and Education:Communicate effectively with clients to discuss diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis for their pets.Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, behaviour, and other aspects of pet wellness.Address client concerns and questions with empathy and professionalism.Build and maintain strong client relationships to promote client satisfaction and loyalty.Practice Management:Assist in developing and implementing practice protocols, policies, and procedures to enhance patient care and practice efficiency.Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals.Collaborate with management to achieve financial goals and objectives for the practice.Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract new clients and retain existing ones.Qualifications: Senior Veterinary SurgeonDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.Valid license to practice veterinary medicine.Proven leadership experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills, with proficiency in surgical procedures.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and staff.Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in veterinary medicine.Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay abreast of advancements in veterinary medicine.We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where all individuals are respected, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents.
