Please note that we are seeking candidates that have extensive “ultra high end” and “cut and carve” experience gained within the London market;
We are looking for an experienced Project Director to deliver ultra high end projects on time and within budget, with attention to safety and quality, whilst enhancing our reputation with external clients and work colleagues. Extensive experience within the ultra high end sector is a specific requirement as the role will encompass the development of either hotel or residential opportunities prior to tender. The PD role encompasses a need for business development skills, ability to manage bids and follow them through to the construction phase.
Principle Duties & Accountabilities
* Safe, effective and right first time delivery of the specific contract’s requirements
* Resource works appropriately and drive capability and performance within project team
* Promote, enforce and adhere to the company’s Health & Safety Policy and Procedure
* Training and development of supervisory and operational employees to ensure the accurate availability of competent staff
* Make line managers aware of key issues and solutions
* Develop and maintain relationships with relevant client representatives, supply chain and local authorities
* Provision of reports and management information to senior management and client
* Overall responsibility for project budget, costs, cash flow and margin
* Manage contractual issues arising with client and sub contractors
* Produce and own contract programme
* Provide suitable bid support at tender stage
Key Working Relationships
Responsibility for tender/site team
Key relationships:
* Internal - Senior management team, commercial teams, site personnel
* External - Clients, consultants, supply chain, general public
Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required
* Proven track record of project delivery, from tender through to construction phase
* Genuine knowledge of the ultra high end and resi sector and ability to develop client relationships
* Experience of running projects in excess of £30m
* Self motivated, strong technical and people leadership skills
* Track record of project delivery
* Relevant industry health and safety management qualifications
* Ability to develop a successful team working ethos and develop future talent
* Relevant Building or Civil Engineering Qualifications – minimum HNC level
* Proactively promote and develop the Project Management function
