Role overview:nAt Natural Baby Shower, we are dedicated to providing products that are
best for parent, baby and the planet . As a Merchandiser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and health of our product assortment, spanning over 120+ brands. Collaborating closely with the Buyer and a team of dedicated account managers, you will be responsible for maintaining stock health, maximising margins, and driving strategic initiatives to enhance our product portfolio's overall performance.
Key responsibilities:nStock Health Management:nMonitor and maintain optimal stock levels across all brands within the portfolio.nAnalyse sales trends to identify slow-moving or excess stock and implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.nCollaborate with the Buyer and Account Managers to execute effective replenishment strategies.
Margin Reporting and Optimisation:nGenerate margin reports and analyse profitability.nIdentify areas for margin improvement and work with the Buyer, Account Managers, and the wider team to implement pricing adjustments and strategies.nMonitor competitor pricing and market trends to ensure competitive pricing strategies.
Promotional Strategy:nCoordinate with the Buyer and Account Managers to plan and execute promotional pricing strategies.nAnalyse promotional performance and provide recommendations.
Category Management:nConduct regular category reviews and analyses to identify opportunities for assortment optimization.nCollaborate with the Buyer and Account Managers to develop and implement category strategies.nMonitor category performance and make data-driven recommendations for assortment adjustments.
Competitor Analysis and Reporting:nPrepare comprehensive reports on competitor activities and market insights.nUtilise competitive intelligence to inform merchandising decisions and strategic initiatives.
Forecasting at Key Trading Periods:nCollaborate with the Buyer and Account Managers to forecast demand and sales volumes during key trading periods.nAnalyse historical data and market trends to develop accurate sales forecasts.nEnsure sufficient stock availability to meet customer demand during peak seasons and promotional events.
Target Setting and Performance Tracking:nSet performance targets for brands based on sales objectives and market trends.nMonitor brand performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed to achieve goals.nProvide regular performance updates to the management team and stakeholders.
What you’ll need to succeed:nProven experience in merchandising, preferably in the retail industry.nStrong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis.nExcellent communication and collaboration skills.nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.nProficiency in using merchandising software and tools.nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
